Montgomery County One Of Nation's Wealthiest Areas

Suburbs in the greater DC area continue to be among the wealthiest areas in the country, and Montgomery County is on the list.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, VA — The Census Bureau latest estimates show once again that Washington, DC, suburbs dominate the list of the most affluent places in the United States, WTOP reports.

Independent cities and counties are included among these counties in the Census Bureau's latest estimates. Three Maryland counties made the list led by Howard County at No. 4 with a median income of $110,224; Calvert County at No. 18 with $98,937; and Montgomery County at No. 19 with a median income of $98,314,

Loudoun County, Virginia, again took the number one spot with a median income of $125,900.
