Montgomery Schools Make Decision on Friday Classes
School and community activities, and SAT tests, are canceled by the approaching storm, Montgomery County Public Schools officials say.

BETHESDA, MD — All schools in Montgomery County will be closed Friday through Sunday, Jan. 22-24, as a blizzard heads toward the region, according to Montgomery County Public Schools.
The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning from noon Friday through 6 a.m. Sunday for much of Maryland, including Montgomery County. Snowfall totals are now estimated at 2 feet.

Given the dire forecast, all schools will be closed, and administrative offices will close at noon Friday. All events in the schools are canceled, too.

Montgomery County Public Schools will be closed Friday, January 22, through Sunday, January 24, due to emergency weather conditions. Administrative offices will close Friday at 12 p.m.
All after-school, evening, weekend, and community-use activities in all MCPS buildings are cancelled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This includes the administration of the SAT. Additionally, all field trips for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are cancelled.
