Motorcycle Driver Seriously Hurt in Collision with Truck
A Silver Spring man is hospitalized in serious condition after the crash in Wheaton, Montgomery County Police say.

A motorcycle rider remains in serious condition after a collision with a pickup truck in Wheaton, authorities say.
Montgomery County Police say the accident happened Saturday night at the intersection of Randolph Road and Bushey Drive.

Investigators say a 2005 Ford F-150 pickup truck was southbound on Bushey Drive, while a 2002 Yamaha motorcycle was westbound on Randolph Road. The pickup attempted to cross Randolph Road and collided with the motorcycle in the intersection.
The motorcycle driver was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The pickup truck driver is identified as Mario Evert Carrasco Gonzales, 43, of the 3900 block of Ilford Road in Silver Spring. Police say the injured motorcyclist is Thomas Steven Rose, 59, of the 11300 block of Cloverhill Drive in Silver Spring.
Rose remains in serious condition at a local hospital.
Detectives continue to investigate this collision. Anyone who saw the collision is asked to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620. Callers may remain anonymous.
