Nude Burglar Seen On Bethesda Homeowner's Surveillance Tapes: Police

Montgomery County Police officers are searching for a man who attempted a residential burglary in the nude in Bethesda.

BETHESDA, MD — Montgomery County Police officers are searching for a man who attempted a residential burglary in the nude on the evening of May 17.

Officers were called to a home in the 5100 block of Newport Avenue for the report of a homeowner who was reviewing his home's surveillance video and saw something strange.

The homeowner discovered footage of a nude man who had attempted to gain entry into his residence shortly after midnight May 17, police said. The homeowner observed the suspect walking around the home, peering into the windows and attempting to open a door to gain entry into the home, police told Patch. The man fled when an exterior motion light on the home was activated.

Anyone who has information about the suspect is asked to call the 2nd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6710. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
