Openings for String Players - Washington Conservatory Orchestra

Adult violin, viola, cello and bass musicians of all levels are invited - no auditions required

The Washington Conservatory Community Orchestra, led by Conductor Jovan Zivkovic, announces openings in all string sections - violin, viola, cello and bass - for adult musicians of all levels. No auditions are required. Orchestra members learn and perform both traditional and lesser-known orchestral literature with like-minded avid adult musicians in a friendly professional atmosphere. Rehearsals are held Tuesdays, 8-9:30 pm at Washington Conservatory of Music, One Westmoreland Circle, Bethesda, MD 20816. Three Sunday concerts are sponsored per season in the sanctuary of Westmoreland Congregational UCC. Orchestra concerts for the 2018-2019 season are December 16, March 17, and June 16, with admission by donation.

The orchestra is a community program of the Washington Conservatory of Music, one of sixteen nationally-accredited non-profit community music schools (ACCPAS). The orchestra does not collect tuition or membership dues. Tax-deductible contributions to the Washington Conservatory at the start of each semester are encouraged.
