Police 'Deeply Concerned' About Condition of Children, Mother

Montgomery County authorities are searching for a mother who is a paranoid schizophrenic, and her two young children, who have been missing since at least Monday.

Police are looking for Catherine Hoggle, 27, of the 12200 block of Elm Forest Court in Clarksburg, and her two children, Jacob Hoggle, 2, and Sarah Hoggle, 3.

It’s possible friends are watching the children and don’t realize their father, Troy Turner, and police are looking for them, Montgomery County Police said. Anyone who has seen Hoggle or her children is asked to call 911.

“I am deeply concerned for the welfare of these two little children and their mother,” Montgomery Assistant Police Chief Russ Hamill said during a news conference held Tuesday, reports The Washington Post.

Turner, who works nights, hasn’t seen his children since Sunday. That afternoon, Hoggle borrowed her father’s gray 2012 Nissan Rogue SUV to pick up pizza for Jacob, but returned three hours later without the boy or pizza. Hoggle reportedly told her parents that Jacob was at a playmate’s house. She then returned to her home with Sarah.

Investigators on Monday determined that Jacob had never been at his friend’s home Sunday.

About 5:50 a.m. Monday, Hoggle left their Clarksburg home with Sarah and told Turner that she was dropping the child off at a day-care center. When she returned home at about 8:30 a.m., Hoggle told Turner, her common-law husband, that she had left both Sarah and Jacob at an unknown daycare.

That afternoon Turner planned to pick up Sarah and Jacob, but Hoggle would not share information about the children’s whereabouts.

Before going to the police station, the couple stopped at a restaurant near the Germantown Transit Center, at 19945 Aircraft Drive. Without Turner’s knowledge, Catherine left the restaurant, so he contacted police. A police bloodhound indicated that Catherine had walked to the Germantown Transit Center and hasn’t been seen since.

The missing mother and children’s descriptions are:

• Catherine Hoggle is a white woman, 5’06” tall, 160 pounds, with brown eyes and shoulder length black hair. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a black tank top.
• Sarah Hoggle is described as a biracial girl, 3’6″ tall, 40 pounds, with brown eyes and medium length brown hair.
• Jacob Hoggle is described as a biracial boy, 3’0” tall, weighs 25 pounds, with brown eyes and a curly, blond afro.
