Police Need Help Finding Missing Dementia Patient

Montgomery County Police say a man who functions at the level of a 10-year-old walked away from a Kensington nursing home Tuesday.

KENSINGTON, MD — Montgomery County Police are asking for the public’s help finding a critical missing 64-year-old man with diminished mental capacity.

About 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Kennard Walker, 64, left the Kensington Nursing Center, 3000 McComas Avenue in Kensington, where he is a resident.

He is described as a black man with a dark complexion, 6′ tall, and weighing 200 pounds. He has short black hair and a black beard.

When he left the facility, Walker was wearing a white shirt under a gray hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.

Police say Walker functions at the level of a 10-year-old, suffers from dementia, and has other medical conditions that require monitoring. He may be familiar with public transportation.
