Ranger Surplus Store in Bethesda Closed

The Ranger Surplus store in downtown Bethesda has closed. The company still has a store in Rockville and one opening soon in Frederick.

The Ranger Surplus store in Bethesda has closed after 18 years, according to the company’s Facebook page.

“We look forward to seeing you at our other locations soon! Will keep you posted on when Frederick will open,” the Facebook page says.

There is also a Ranger Surplus store in Rockville.

The Wisconsin Avenue property is now in the hands of Douglas Development, says Washington Business Journal blogger Robert Dyer.

Douglas plans to redevelop the entire Bethesda block where Ranger and other businesses called home, the Business Journal says.
