Reggae Warehouse Party Fight: 1 Shot, Another Hit By Bottle, Police Say

A party at a Burtonsville warehouse over the weekend turned violent, according to police.

A "reggae" party at a warehouse in Burtonsville turned violent over the weekend after a fight broke out and a woman was shot, police said Wednesday.

A fight broke out during the party, in the area of, Star Point Lane and Dino Drive, Montgomery County Police said, and private security workers tried to break it up and "disperse the crowd."

When the fight spilled outside the warehouse, a gun was fired and a 26-year-old woman was hit, police said. She was taken to a local hospital in serious condition suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.

Later that morning, police were told of a 23-year-old woman who had been at the "reggae party" and was suffering from a head injury, police said. She said she was hit "multiple times in the head by a bottle and knocked to the ground," police said.
