A new Italian restaurant is opening its doors next week by giving back to the community. For its debut, at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 9, Venti Tre Modern Italian, 128 Ellington Blvd. in Gaithersburg, will donate 25 percent of sales to MdBio Foundation, a STEM charity.
MdBio provides STEM education opportunities for middle and high school students who want to pursue jobs in bioscience. Since its founding in 1997, the foundation has contributed more than $3.5 million to its programs, which include the Young Science Explorers Program, as well as college and career readiness resources like IGNITE and LOFT.
