Restaurant Thefts In Bethesda Bring Robbery, Theft Charges
A man with no known address has been charged in two robberies at Bethesda restaurants, dating back to March, Montgomery County Police said.
BETHESDA, MD — A man with no known address has been charged in two theft cases at Bethesda restaurants, dating back to March, Montgomery County Police said Monday.
Detectives on May 17 arrested and charged Kerrick Omar Miller, 31, of an unknown address, with a theft that occurred shortly before 11 p.m. on March 4 in Bethesda. Police didn't specify which restaurant the theft happened at.
The victim, a restaurant employee, had their backpack hanging on a coat rack, near the back of the restaurant. Police said Miller took the victim’s backpack, went into the men’s bathroom and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect put the backpack under the sink and left the restaurant.

Detectives identified Miller as the suspect and believe he was involved in several thefts and a strong-arm robbery in the Bethesda area.
On April 14, at 11:39 p.m., police were called to an undisclosed restaurant in the 4900 block of Cordell Ave., for the report of a theft. Authorities said Miller ordered food and beverages at the business.

When the waiter brought Miller's bill, the suspect got up to leave the restaurant. The waiter told Miller he needed pay the bill, at which point police said Miller shoved the waiter against the wall and left the restaurant without paying.

Detectives applied for an arrest warrant for Miller, charging him with multiple counts of theft and strong-arm robbery.
He was arrested May 17 and taken to the Central Processing Unit, where he is being held without bond.
