Roaming Rooster Brings Its Fried Chicken Sandwiches To North Bethesda

NORTH BETHESDA, MD — Roaming Rooster, known for its fried chicken sandwiches, held its grand opening on Tuesday at Pike & Rose shopping mall in North Bethesda, the restaurant’s first location in Maryland.

Roaming Rooster has five locations in D.C. and three in Virginia. The new location, Roaming Rooster's ninth in the Washington, D.C., area, is at 11586 Old Georgetown Road in North Bethesda. It's open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

In early 2015, Roaming Rooster was founded in D.C. as a food truck business.

"Within months, word got out on social media about the delicious poultry menu and the demand for Roaming Rooster soon called for the expansion from one food truck to three and subsequently, to numerous brick and mortars," Roaming Rooster says on its website. "Since then, the popularity of the only food truck in D.C. serving tasty free-range chicken has grown massively."
