The Metro Bethesda Rotary Club has provided $41,000 worth of first aide kits and medical supplies to Ukraine, working with the Lviv International Rotary Club and the local nonprofit United Help Ukraine. Funds came from club members and a Rotary Disaster Response grant. Emergency first aid and mobile medical kits were purchased, packaged and delivered. The journey began in a warehouse in Gaithersburg, then continued to Newark for a flight to Warsaw, Poland. Last month, the delivery crossed the Ukraine/Poland border, where the Lviv Club supervised its distribution.
