Rotary Purple Tee Golf Tournament

Metro Bethesda club benefits veterans-related nonprofits.

(Metro Bethesda Rotary Club)

The 17th Annual Purple Tee Golf Tournament and Auction, sponsored by the Metro Bethesda Rotary Club, will be held on September 21 at Whiskey Creek Golf Course in Ijamsville, Maryland. Proceeds from the event are shared by three organizations: the club's foundation carries out projects in the local community and around the world (such as books for Head Start students and medical aid to Ukraine); SMGA-Salute Military Golf Association-provides lessons, equipment and golf opportunities to vets with service-related disabilities; and TAPS-Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors-offers a wide variety of services to families of veterans and of those killed in action.
