Armed Robbery Prompts Shelter In Place Order For High School
A shelter-in-place warning was issued for Montgomery Blair High School after two students were allegedly robbed at gunpoint on campus.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring was instructed to shelter in place Wednesday morning after two students were allegedly robbed at gunpoint on the school's track.
"This morning, at 10:15 a.m., two Blair students reported that they were robbed on the school track by three unknown suspects. The victims reported that the suspects showed them a gun. The students ran to the building and reported the incident to school security and our School Resource Officer," according to a school letter obtained by Patch.
Fifteen minutes later, the high school was instructed to shelter in place.

"Additional police came to the building and all doors were secured and monitored by staff," the letter read.
The shelter in place was lifted shortly before noon.
