• The First Annual Doctors & Nurses Ball to raise funds for MobileHealth4All takes place in Bethesda tonight.
• Rockville Musical Theatre presents Footloose at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre in Rockville at 8 p.m.
• Montgomery Playhouse’s production of Painting Churches opens tonight at Gaithersburg Arts Barn at 8 p.m. Recommended for ages 15 and older.
• The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra performs Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons at Strathmore at 8:15 p.m.

Saturday, November 7

• Join Montgomery Parks in celebrating Maryland Emancipation Day with numerous events planned over the weekend.
• Create your college application video workshop at Montgomery Community Media’s studios begins at 10 a.m. Must register.
• Washington ArtWorks has many activities planned for their Open Studio Weekend including live music, food trucks, film screenings and more. Open noon to 5 p.m. in Rockville.
• If you love Scotch, you may want to check out the Scotch Tasting at BlackRock in Germantown at 7 p.m.
• Award winning mezzo-soprano Kate Jackman performs at Kentlands Mansion at 7:30 p.m.
• Paul Anka performs at Strathmore at 8 p.m.
• Rockville Musical Theatre presents Footloose at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre in Rockville at 8 p.m.
• Montgomery Playhouse’s production of Painting Churches continues with a show at Gaithersburg Arts Barn at 8 p.m. Recommended for ages 15 and older.

• Folk group Shenandoah Run perform at the Mansion at Strathmore at 4 p.m.
• The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra performs Time Travel led by conductor Marin Alsop at Strathmore at 8 p.m.
