Shrek, the Musical at Congregation Har Shalom, January 24-25

Lots of singing, dancing, and fun for theater-goers of all ages Find out how the fairy tale really ends

What happens when an unlikely hero finds himself on a quest to rescue a feisty princess? Throw in a talking donkey, a short-tempered bad guy, and a cookie with an attitude and you’ve got the makings of a boisterous story full of farce and fast-paced action.

Irreverent fun for the whole family, Shrek, the Musical proves that different can be wonderful when dozens of fairy tale creatures and friends sing and dance their way through the Har Shalom Players’ latest production. A cast of 56 — including children and teens from eleven area schools — brings this updated fairy tale to life, with an evening show on Saturday, January 24th at 8:00 p.m. and a matinee on Sunday, January 25th at 4:00 p.m.

Both performances will take place at Congregation Har Shalom, located at 11510 Falls Road, Potomac, Maryland.
