Silver Alert Canceled For Elderly Bethesda Man (Update)

BREAKING: Montgomery County Police say a Bethesda man with dementia has been found after being missing for nearly a day.

UPDATED at 4:30 p.m. BETHESDA, MD — Authorities have canceled a Silver Alert for an elderly Bethesda man who was reported missing Tuesday afternoon. Norberto Goldberg has been located safe and unharmed in Washington, D.C., and will be reunited with family, police said at 4 p.m.

Montgomery County Police asking for the public’s help as they try to locate Norberto Goldberg, 75, of East West Highway in Bethesda.

Goldberg left his home to run errands about 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27. Police say he was driving a metallic gray, 2014 Chrysler 200 with Maryland tag: 7CA4188.

Goldberg is described as a white man who is 5’05” tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has gray hair and brown eyes. At the time he left his house, Goldberg was wearing a cream or beige-colored shirt, long black pants, black shoes, and a black leather baseball cap.

Goldberg suffers from dementia and police and family are concerned for his physical well-being.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Norberto Goldberg or the metallic gray Chrysler 200 is asked to call 9-1-1.
