UPDATE: Silver Alert Canceled for Bethesda Man

Montgomery County Police say an elderly Bethesda man with Alzheimer's disease has been found.

BETHESDA, MD — The Montgomery County Police Department has canceled a Silver Alert issued for an elderly Bethesda man.

Thomas Sun has been located in the District of Columbia and will be reunited with family, authorities said.

A Silver Alert has been activated for Thomas Theishin Sun, 86, of the 6200 block of Tuckerman Lane in Bethesda.

Sun was last seen about 8:30 a.m. Monday at his residence.

He is described as an Asian male, 5’10″ tall, and weighing about 200 pounds. He is balding and walks with the assistance of a cane.

Sun has Alzheimer’s and other medical conditions that require monitoring.

He left his home driving a 1998 red Isuzu Trooper with Maryland tag: 335537M.

Anyone with information on Sun’s whereabouts or anyone who sees Sun’s vehicle is asked to call 9-1-1.
