Skyrocket Productions LLC at The Daily Dish

enjoying an evening with Dr. Spencer Johnson at The Daily Dish in Chevy Chase

We first met at an incredibly original restaurant on the edge of Chevy Chase and Silver Spring called The Daily Dish. They have impressive pizza and great service, that part of town is quiet and peaceful. If you are heading on East West Highway to Grubb Road you feel like you are in a park or a forest.

There are stables offMeadowbrook Lane in Chevy Chase where one may take riding lessons and trail rides through the open forest. Chevy Chase is an amazing town. So many activities to partake in and the location to Washington D.C. is very close.

The interview was with Dr, Spencer Johnson from Temple Hills, Maryland and he is the producer of “Coffin “and “Coffin 2” he also sees patients in the hospitals that are in Washington D.C. adjacent to Chevy Chase and he produces films.

He began his production company in 2004 and he is a big fan ofJohnny Alonso, among other local talent. He is a renaissance man in his ability to work 60 plus hours a week as a doctor and still have time to produce film.

He is excited about “Coffin 2” going to Cannes Film Festival and is very excited about its release this summer. He says great things about the cast and crew of “Coffin 2” as more evidence of this team is becoming legendary. They had a shoe string budget and still managed to get the film to Cannes. It is so inspiring to hear this story of great artists coming together to create incredible experiences with little money and so much artistic ability.

The Daily Dish is also a gem in this town. It is simple with great food that is not overpriced. The Daily Dish seems to be an impressive artistic restaurant in its own right. Bethesda has the majority of restaurants in its place but the quietness of Chevy Chase makes for a truly interesting evening where one can actually hear their conversation.
