Solar Panel Catches Fire At Kenwood Golf & Country Club: Fire Official
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service units responded to a fire at the Kenwood Golf & Country Club in Bethesda on Saturday.

BETHESDA, MD — Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service units responded to a fire on the roof of a building at the Kenwood Golf & Country Club in Bethesda on Saturday, according to the fire department.
A solar panel caught fire on the roof of the two-story building at the country club, MCFRS spokesman Pete Piringer said in a tweet Saturday. The building, which houses the country fitness center, was evacuated.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire on the roof of the building at 5601 River Road.

One solar panel was damaged by the fire, but no smoke or fire was reported inside the building, Piringer said.
A cause of the fire has yet to be released by the fire department.
