A Taste of Argentina: Food, Live Tango Music and Shopping!

Washington, DC. With November just around the corner, schools and charities in the DC area prepare for various holiday events. If you are looking for something different and original—perhaps an enjoyable family event providing a friendly cultural immersion experience with tasty food, entertainment and unique shopping—look no further!

The Escuela Argentina de Washington (Argentinian School of Washington) will hold its Annual International Bazaar on Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event features Latin American and international artisans offering jewelry, crafts, adult and children’s clothing, chocolates, books, regional products and much more! Traditional food and pastries include empanadas, pebetes, alfajores, facturas and other tasty treats with great coffee.

Join us for this free event and enjoy a chance to win great prizes (raffle tickets are only $5), and bid on a silent auction featuring fabulous items including wines from La Cava (favorite wines donated by the families of the school). Around noon, grab a seat and enjoy LIVE TANGO MUSIC featuring renowned Emmanuel Trifilio (bandoneon) and Ramón González (guitar).

Escuela Argentina de Washington, a nonprofit educational institution, has been serving students and families from a diverse Spanish-speaking community in the D.C. metropolitan area. Over 440 students and their parents travel across the region to go to this school.

Enjoy shopping, live music and great Argentinian food while supporting the school’s programs.
