Thieves Drive Stolen BMW to Chevy Chase School Burglary: Police
Can you identify two men suspected in a Bethesda car theft and a break-in at Lycee Rochambeau-French International School?
Bethesda, MD — Two men in a stolen BMW are sought in a break-in at a private Chevy Chase school that netted the thieves 25 Apple iPads, officials said.
The Montgomery County Police Department is asking for the public’s help as it works to identify two men who boosted a silver BMW 328i from a residential driveway in the 9800 block of Raleigh Tavern Court in Bethesda. The car key had been left in the unlocked BMW, which was stolen between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on June 23.
About an hour later a burglary happened at the Lycee Rochambeau-French International School, 3200 Woodbine Street in Chevy Chase.

Police say a first-floor classroom window was broken and 25 Apple iPads valued at a total of $7,500 were stolen.

School video surveillance shows two black men at the building about 8 p.m. The video also shows the suspects’ two vehicles: a black and silver sedan; the silver car appears to be the BMW stolen from Bethesda.
The stolen BMW was found in Washington, D.C., the next day. When detectives searched car, they found discarded clothing that was similar to clothing worn by one of the suspects during the school burglary.
Detectives ask anyone who recognizes the suspects from the surveillance video or who has information about the two crimes to call investigators at 240-773-6700.
