Friday, November 20

• Sugarloaf Crafts Festival features the work of more than 350 artisans at the county fairgrounds in Gaithersburg. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Montgomery County celebrates 14 adoptions today as part of National Adoption Month at the Circuit Court in Rockville at 3 p.m.
• Local singer songwriter Vanny performs the music of Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and more at El Golfo restaurant in Silver Spring from 6 to 8 p.m.
• The new Pike & Rose development is hosting a tree lighting spectacular with ice carving, face painting and more from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
• As part of her “Playing With Fire Tour,” Jennifer Nettles performs at Fillmore in Silver Spring at 7 p.m. Last time we checked, there were only resale tickets available.
• Olney Theatre’s production of Guys and Dolls continues this week. Tonight’s show is at 8 p.m.
• The Damascus Theatre Company presents the musical Fiddler on the Roof at Olney Theatre at 8 p.m.
• Montgomery Playhouse’s comedy Painting Churches at Gaithersburg Arts Barn is at 8 p.m.

Saturday, November 21

• The African American Student Achievement Action Group is holding a free forum to identify new trends and initiatives to address the achievement gap.
• Sugarloaf Crafts Festival features the work of more than 350 artisans at the county fairgrounds in Gaithersburg. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Montgomery County’s 18th annual Thanksgiving Parade begins at 10 a.m. in Downtown Silver Spring.
• The Damascus Local First business expo takes place at Damascus High School from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Health coverage through the Maryland Health Connection is open now through January 31. Get in-person help today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wayne Curry Sports & Learning Complex in Landover.
• Olney Theatre’s production of Guys and Dolls has two performances at 2 and 8 p.m. today.
• The Damascus Theatre Company presents the musical Fiddler on the Roof at Olney Theatre at 8 p.m.
• Montgomery Playhouse’s comedy Painting Churches at Gaithersburg Arts Barn is at 8 p.m.
• The Tenors perform at the Music Center at Strathmore at 8 p.m.

Sunday, November 22

• The final day of the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival at the county fairgrounds is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today.
• Olney Theatre’s production of Guys and Dolls has a show today at 2 p.m. today.
• The Damascus Theatre Company presents the musical Fiddler on the Roof at Olney Theatre at 2 p.m.
• Montgomery Playhouse’s comedy Painting Churches at Gaithersburg Arts Barn is at 2 p.m.
• BlackRock’s On Screen/In Person film series continues with the screening of “Miriam Beerman: Expressing the Chaos” at 3 p.m. Each film includes a public screening, a post-screening discussion with the visiting filmmaker, and a community activity with the filmmaker to provide a greater appreciation for their work.
• BlackRock “Crooked Road on Tour” concert celebrates the musical traditions in Southwest Virginia with two performances by three award-winning groups at 4 and 7 p.m.
