- Sandy Spring Museum’s art exhibit “Two for One: Photographic Combinations using the Museum Collection” is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Here’s your chance to see 11 new international award-winning animated short films at AFI Silver Theatre in Silver Spring. The ‘17th Annual Animation Show of Shows‘ opens today for one week only.
- The Wheaton Pop Up Film Fest features film screenings and panel discussions. The event begins at 3:30 p.m. at Chuck Levin’s Washington Music Center. Please note the event is sold out.
- Enjoy a spooky nature hike, magic show and more at the Croyden Creek Nature Center in Rockville from 6 to 8 p.m. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- The popular Field of Screams features four haunts in Olney. Opens at 6:30 p.m.
- Markoff’s Haunted Forest opens the gates at 7 p.m. Online ticket purchases is recommended. The forest features two trails and numerous events from zip-lines to zombie hunts.
- The Kensington Arts Theatre-2nd Stage’s production of Disney’s Aladdin Jr. at Gaithersburg’s Arts Barn at 7:30 p.m. is appropriate for families with children ages 7 and older.
- It’s Dance Night at the Bethesda Blues & Jazz Club with music by Tito Puente Jr and his orchestra.

- Do you children love Halloween and big trucks? Suburban Nursery School in Bethesda is hosting their 8th Annual Truck Touch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Halloween costumes encouraged.
- Rockville early voting is open form 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Rockville City Hall.
- Enjoy a hay ride, straw maze, corn hole game and much more at the Butler’s Orchard Pumpkin Festival in Germantown. Open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Honor & Gratitude: A Salute to Vietnam Veterans hosted by Bob Schieffer takes place at The Universities at Shady Grove from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
- Wine lovers will want to check out the 1st CorktoberFest at the county fairgrounds in Gaithersburg. The event features wine tasting from 19 Maryland and Virginia wineries, liver music, food and wine seminars. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
