Video of CVS Pharmacy Robber Released: Police

A man reportedly stuffed hair coloring and shampoo in a duffel bag, then left Wheaton CVS pharmacy without paying, threatening an employee.

WHEATON, MD — A man who allegedly helped himself to a bag full of hair-care products, without paying, and then threatened to harm the CVS employee who tried to stop him was caught on video, authorities say. Montgomery County Police on Thursday released surveillance footage of the July robbery of a CVS Pharmacy at 12209 Veirs Mills Road in Wheaton.

Investigators posted a surveillance video of the suspect and asked for the public’s help in identifying him.

About 10 a.m. on July 24, the suspect entered the CVS pharmacy carrying a duffle bag and went to the store’s hair-care products display. A store employee reportedly saw the suspect stuff hair coloring and shampoo products inside his duffel bag.

When the employee attempted to stop the shoplifter from leaving the store with the stolen merchandise, the suspect threatened to harm the employee, police say. The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot on Veirs Mill Road.

Anyone with information about the suspect or this robbery is asked to call police at 240-773-5070.
