Manna Food Center is dedicated to ending hunger in Montgomery county through education, food distribution and advocacy, hopefully inspiring food security for all and encouraging a dedicated team of volunteers and staff throughout Gaithersburg.

Manna Food Center offers volunteer opportunities for volunteers age 7+ all year long! Our volunteer opportunities take place in our warehouse in Gaithersburg and throughout the community. Last year over 40,000 volunteers donated more than 70,000 hours of their time to help feed the hungry in Montgomery County. Come join our volunteer team and help your neighbors in need!

According to the website, in order to maintain the facility and organize our volunteers for the best time constraints and to support our staff efficiently, advance registration is required for all volunteer activities. Please call 301-424-1130 to donate food or arrange to volunteer at the facility.

The Community Food Rescue program is a first of its kind program that helps scale up and deliver food to those communities in need. The program helps to identify and distribute good food resources to those in need without letting the food go to waste, recovering food prior to being thrown away. A corps of volunteers help deliver the food to the Manna Food Center, Manna believes that CFR is a new way of scaling up food rescue and mobilizing people vested in creating a hunger-free community. The County helps to make this possible through their resources and helpful volunteers.
