Friday, January 29

• Montgomery County Restaurant Week has been extended to Feb. 7. This is your opportunity to try new restaurants.
• Local favorite, jazz pianist Marcus Johnson headlines at Amp by Strathmore in North Bethesda at 8 p.m.
• Round House Theatre’s production of Father Comes Home From the Wars opened this week. Tonight’s performance in Bethesda begins at 8 p.m.
• Ankh Repertory Theatre’s production of A Change Gon’ Come tells the story of Harriet Tubman. Tonight’s performance at Gaithersburg Arts Barn is at 8 p.m.
• Bethesda Blues & Jazz present The Chuck Brown Band at 8 p.m.

Saturday, January 30

• Montgomery County Restaurant Week continues today. This is an opportunity to try new restaurants and cuisine.
• Walk-in registration begins today for Spring and Summer classes and camps at Glen Echo Park.
• The 10th Annual Montgomery County History Conference is being held at Montgomery College’s Germantown Campus from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Help save a life by participating in the American Red Cross Blood Drive at the New Life Seventh-Day Adventist Church from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in
  Gaithersburg.
• Imagination Stage presents Wake Up, Brother Bear! for children ages 5 and under. Performances at 10 and 11:15 a.m. in Bethesda.
• Montgomery College’s Saturday Morning Children’s Series presents Chicken Dance at the Rockville campus at 11 a.m.
• The Puppet Co. presents Len Piper’s Pinocchio at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Glen Echo Park.
• Round House Theatre’s production of Father Comes Home From the Wars has performances at 2 and 8 p.m. in Bethesda.
• The Crawdaddies perform at AMP by Strathmore in North Bethesda at 8 p.m.
• Bethesda Blues & Jazz Club present “An Evening with Bilal” at 8 p.m.
• Ankh Repertory Theatre’s production of A Change Gon’ Come tells the story of Harriet Tubman. Tonight’s performance at Gaithersburg Arts Barn is at 8 p.m.
• Rockville Little Theatre presents the comedy Lend Me a Tenor at F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre in Rockville at 8 p.m.
• The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra performs Brahm’s Symphony No. 4 at the Music Center at Strathmore at 8 p.m. Go early to attend a complimentary lecture prior to the concert at 6:30 p.m.

Sunday, January 31

• Montgomery County Restaurant Week continues today for lunch and dinner.
• Donate blood and help save lives at the American Red Cross blood drive at the Clara Barton Community Center from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
• Imagination Stage presents Wake Up, Brother Bear! for children ages 5 and under. Performances at 10 and 11:15 a.m. in Bethesda.
• The 36th Annual Women’s Legislative Briefing takes place at the Universities at Shady Grove from 12:30 to 6 p.m. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and tickets may be purchased at that time.
• Rockville’s annual wedding expo at the Glenview Mansion brings vendors together to help you plan the perfect wedding from noon to 4 p.m. for a nominal price.
• Online registration for Glen Echo Park Spring and Summer classes and camps opens at noon today.
• East West Tae Kwon Do is conducting a self-defense seminar for teens and adults at 1 p.m. in Potomac.
