Weekend Event: Russian, Eastern European Homemade Food Featured

St. Mark Orthodox Church in Bethesda will host its annual Ethnic Food Festival & Bazaar this weekend, Nov. 7-9.
The event features Russian and Eastern European food, baked goods, jewelry, crafts, raffles and more. The church is located at 7124 River Road.
There is no charge to attend the event, which is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Menu items include: Piroghi, chicken Kiev, kielbasa, piroshky, borscht, beef stroganoff, spanakopita, nut roll, poppyseed roll, baklava, blini and Russian torte.
All food sold is homemade, organizers say.

The bazaar will include the Artel Collection (Faberge-style jewelry), Mostly Dreams jewelry, Iris Grundler Pottery, DeToxForHealth nutrition products, Earrings by Marina, religious gifts and books, and raffles.
Eat in or carry-out area at the rear of the church (during peak hours).
There is a 10 percent discount on hot foods for seniors 65+ years of age.
