Montgomery County offices and services will be limited on Nov. 11 because of Veterans Day. Ceremony planned in Rockville to honor veterans.

BETHESDA, MD — Montgomery County's public schools and aquatic centers will be open, while libraries and government offices will be closed for Veterans Day on Friday, Nov. 11.
If you're looking for something to do in the area that day, Rockville will hold a ceremony to honor military veterans. The ceremony, which is open to the public, will be held at Veterans Park, at the intersection of Route 28 and Rockville Pike. It will include a wreath laying and a military salute by the American Legion Post 86 Honor Guard.
Free parking for the ceremony will be available at the Sandy Spring Bank building, 611 Rockville Pike, between Fleet Street and Rockville Pike. This year's featured speaker is Command Sgt. Maj. Ross Bagwell of Rockville, whose military career began when he enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1987. He served eight years in the Marines, 10 years in the Army National Guard and is in his 12th year in the Army Reserve.
Bagwell works as a principal systems engineer for NASA/Science Systems and Applications, Inc.
