Winter Wonderland Plans Under Way in Bethesda
The annual event -- only a month away -- features singing from local schools, Santa Claus and live ice sculpting.

The Bethesda Urban Partnership invites residents to kick off the holiday season at Bethesda’s Winter Wonderland on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 1 to 4 p.m.
The celebration features holiday performances, a live ice-sculpting presentation and a visit from Santa Claus in Veterans Park, located at the corner of Norfolk and Woodmont Avenues.
Blocks of ice will be transformed into wintery works of art during the ice-sculpting presentation, followed by choral performances from local school groups. Academy of the Holy Cross, Connelly School of the Holy Child, Garrett Park Elementary, Oneness-Family School, Our Lady of Lourdes and Westbrook Elementary School will perform holiday music.
