14-Year-Old Shot While Leaving Laundromat With Mom In Prince George's: Police
Police ask for the public's help in identifying who shot a 14-year-old boy who was leaving a laundromat with his mom this week.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The Prince George’s County Police Department asks that anyone with information about a shooting Tuesday evening in Riverdale contact detectives. The victim in this case was a 14-year-old boy who detectives believe was not the intended target. He remains hospitalized with serious injuries but is in stable condition.
A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
The shooting unfolded in the 6000 block of 66th Avenue shortly before 6:30 p.m. The victim had been shot several times in the legs. According to a police report, good Samaritans applied pressure to his wounds before officers arrived. The officers then placed a tourniquet on the victim until medical personnel could help.

The preliminary investigation revealed the victim and his mother had just left a laundromat when two suspects opened fire in their direction. The suspects then took off.
