2 Back-To-School Events Planned For Saturday In Prince George's County With Free Backpacks

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Two back-to-school events will take place Saturday in Prince George's County.

The Mall at Prince George's and The Salvation Army will host its Fuel For School event. There will be vendors, games, entertainment, food and more. The Prince George's County Public Schools will be present to recruit new hires and backpacks will be given to students while supplies last by The Reinvention Center. The event will be held from noon to 2 at the center court by Macy's, 3500 East-West Highway in Hyattsville.

The Clean Water Partnership will be hosting a Back-to-School Festival at Rosa L. Parks Elementary School in Hyattsville. Each student attending will receive school supplies and a free backpack while supplies last. There also will be activities, games and prizes, a fire engine on display, snacks, face painting and more. The school is located at 6111 Ager Road, Hyattsville.
