2 Men Charged In Connection To 29-Year-Old's Shooting Death: Prince George's Police

Two Seat Pleasant men have been charged in connection to the shooting death of a 29-year-old Hyattsville man, according to police.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Two men have been charged in connection to a homicide that happened in June.

On June 16 at approximately 11:40 p.m., Prince George's County police officers responded to the 900 block of Addison Road South to check on an unresponsive man lying on the side of the road. Officers found 29-year-old Mynor Galvez Juarez of Hyattsville with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

During the investigation, detectives determined that 34-year-old Otoniel Morales and 19-year-old Edwin Roque Alarcon, both of Seat Pleasant, were suspects and determined the murder occurred in the 6600 block of Greig Street in Seat Pleasant. The preliminary investigation revealed the victim and Morales were involved in a dispute prior to the murder.

Morales has been charged with first- and second-degree murder. Alarcon has been charged with accessory after the fact.
