Last week, police arrested 33-year-old Israel Fuentes Jr. and 28-year-old Johnny Alejandro Turcios, both of Lewisdale. Police said Fuentes and Turcios were among a group of people that exchanged gunfire with a second group near where the toddler and his mother were walking on Feb. 8.
Police said Jeremy was in a stroller pushed by his mother, 17-year-old Rose Caceres, near the Bedford Station Apartments when shots rang out. Caceres was also shot but survived her injuries. Jeremy was taken to Children's National Hospital, where he later died, police said.

The two teens arrested on Thursday were a part of the second group involved in the shooting.
Earlier this week, police asked for help identifying two other persons of interest in the case after the pair was seen on surveillance footage getting out of a 2003 gold Ford Explorer and walking into a convenience store in the 9200 block of New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring the night before the shooting.
Police said the Ford Explorer they arrived in was carjacked earlier that morning in the 1500 block of Kanawha Street in Langley Park and was the same SUV the suspects fled in after the toddler’s murder. The Ford Explorer has since been recovered, according to police.
Police are still searching for the two men. A reward of up to $25,000 is available for information leading to arrests and indictments in the case.
