$25K Reward Offered For Information In Takoma Park Fatal Shooting Case: Police

A $25K reward has been offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the fatal shooting of a Takoma Park man.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A 38-year-old Takoma Park man has been fatally shot and a reward of up to $25,000 has been offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On Feb. 20 at approximately 12:40 a.m., officers responded to the 6700 block of New Hampshire Avenue for a report of a shooting. They found Maurice Chase Jr. inside an apartment building with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he died several hours later, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.

Investigators are working to identify the suspect(s) and determine a motive. If anyone has information relevant to this investigation, they are asked to call detectives at 301-516-2512.
