$25K Reward Offered For Information In Shooting Death Of Man: Police

A reward of up to $25K is being offered for information in the fatal shooting of a Capitol Heights man that happened Dec. 31.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A 36-year-old Capitol Heights man was fatally shot Saturday.

On Dec. 31 at approximately 1:25 a.m., officers responded to the 20th block of Chamber Avenue in Capitol Heights for the report of a shooting. Once on scene, officers found Akeem Jamal Garrison inside a vehicle with a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are working to determine a motive.

A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
