2nd Prince George's Officer Arrested For Assault This Month: PGPD
Another Prince George's police officer has been arrested in connection to a domestic assault-related incident yet this month, PGPD says.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A second Prince George's County police officer in less than two weeks has been arrested in connection to a domestic-related incident.
Corporal Robert Harvin III was arrested early Tuesday morning in Laurel while off duty. He's been charged with second-degree assault related to a domestic incident. Harvin III joined the department in 2016 and was assigned to the bureau of patrol. He's been suspended with pay, according to the Prince George's Police Department.
On May 7, Prince George's County Police Officer Charles Williams, Jr. was arrested and suspended with pay. The preliminary investigation indicated that Williams Jr. hit a Charles County sheriff’s deputy during a call for a domestic dispute at his home located in Charles County. The deputy was uninjured. Williams Jr. was charged with second-degree assault in Charles County. Williams Jr. joined the Prince George's Police Department in 2015 and assigned to the Bureau of Patrol, Patch previously reported.
