Three Girls Ages 6, 9 Stabbed To Death, Relative Convicted Of Murders: State's Attorney

The relative of three girls, two aged 6 and one 9, has been convicted of their murders. Prince George's Co. Police say he stabbed all three.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Antonio Williams, 30, has been found guilty by a Prince George's County jury for the first-degree murders of three young girls — his sisters and two cousins — in August 2017.

After six years of being held without bond, a four-day trial and two hours of deliberation, Williams was convicted of three counts of first-degree murder and three counts of first-degree child abuse resulting in death.

On Aug. 18, 2017, about 7:30 a.m., Williams' mother came home from working her nursing shift and found her six-year-old daughter and two visiting female cousins brutally stabbed and unresponsive in a basement bedroom, prosecutors said.

Williams' sister, Nadira Janae’ Withers, 6, and visiting cousins Ariana Elizabeth DeCree, 9, and Ajayah Royale DeCree, 6, had been left in Williams’ care, who was 25 at the time of the murders.

Williams later confessed to taking a knife from the kitchen and going to the downstairs bedroom where the girls were sleeping. After killing all three children, he cleaned the knife and put it back in the kitchen and washed the clothes he was wearing, according to the Office of the State’s Attorney in Prince George’s County.

Williams faces a potential maximum sentence of triple life without the possibility of parole; he's scheduled to be sentenced May 19.

"This case is about three precious little girls who had a right to grow up, pursue their dreams and have a bright future. Instead, they ended up in the care of someone they trusted, who took his frustrations out on them and committed these heinous murders, and now they will never be able to tell their own stories. My heart continues to be with the families of these innocent young victims. After six long years, I am grateful that they can finally get justice for those three precious little girls. My office will do everything we can possibly do to ensure that Mr. Williams will face his consequences and never walk the streets of Prince George’s County again,” State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy said.
