3 Relatives From PA Charged In Man's Fatal Shooting At Capitol Heights Hotel: Police
Three relatives from PA face charges in connection to the fatal shooting of an Oxon Hill man at a Capitol Heights hotel, police say.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Three suspects have been arrested and charged in connection to a fatal shooting that happened at a hotel Saturday night in which 37-year-old Demetric Martin of Oxon Hill was killed.
The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. July 22 at the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham located at 55 Hampton Park Boulevard in Capitol Heights. Martin was found by Prince George's County police officers outside the hotel suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later, the police department reported.
A preliminary investigation indicates the shooting stemmed from a dispute between a family member of the victim and the suspects. The victim and suspects did not know each other. The three suspects are relatives who live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, police noted.

The PGPD’s Fugitive Squad, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service and the Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit, located and arrested 18-year-old Ade Boggs Thursday morning in Philadelphia. He’s been charged with first-degree murder and related charges. He remains in Philadelphia pending extradition to Prince George’s County, the police department reported.
Te Shear Baxter, 28, and Tequoia Baxter, 32, were arrested July 23 at the hotel. They also have been charged with first-degree murder and related charges. They are in the custody of the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections.
