PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — An avid lotto player from Prince George's County recently nabbed $30,000 playing the Diamond Bingo scratch-off ticket. He was inspired to buy the ticket after standing in line behind another fellow who bought it at a gas station.

The 62-year-old was out running errands when he decided to stop at Allentown Valero gas station in Fort Washington to make his lottery purchase. While there, the retired federal government employee noticed another customer playing a $3 Diamond Bingo instant ticket. To his surprise, the second scratch-off revealed the big $30,000 prize.

“I saw the congratulations message and knew I was a winner,” said the single father of an adult son.
