44 People Displaced During Apartment Fire: Prince George's Fire Department

More than 40 people were affected by an apartment fire this week in Laurel. Four fire departments responded to the blaze.

LAUREL, MD — More than 40 people have been displaced from their homes after a two-alarm fire seriously damaged an apartment complex in the 13000 block of Briarwood Drive Wednesday.

When the Prince George’s County firefighters arrived, they found flames shooting through the roof of the three-story building. A couple dozen people in an adjoining building were temporarily displaced while the electricity and gas was turned off.

Firefighters from Anne Arundel, Howard and Montgomery counties assisted Prince George's firefighters.
