$50K Won With A Double Play Powerball Ticket By Prince George's Man

A Prince George's County man won more than $50,000 on a Powerball ticket.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A Laurel resident may not have won the Powerball jackpot, but he did net $50,040 on three lines of a double play ticket. The winning ticket was bought at the Maple Lawn Market at 8181 Maple Lawn Boulevard in Fulton.

“For so many years, I have wondered what it would be like. It feels wonderful,” the 49-year-old said when he claimed the prize at Maryland Lottery headquarters.

The Prince George’s County resident had purchased five sets of numbers for the Nov. 13 drawing, two quick pick and three self-selected, and added the double play option by paying an extra $1 per set, the lottery shared.
