$5K Swindled From Elderly Laurel Woman, Police Ask For Public's Help Finding Suspects

An elderly Laurel woman was bilked out of $5K this summer by two other women. Laurel Police asks for the public's help in finding them.

LAUREL, MD — Two women deceived an elderly victim and stole $5,000 from her this summer in Laurel. Police officers continue to search for the suspects and are asking for the public's help in finding them.

According to the Laurel Police Department, the victim told officers she was approached by two women as she left a shopping center in the 1000 block of Fairlawn Avenue June 22 at around 5:30 p.m.

The elderly woman told police the suspects swindled her and took $5,000. She managed to take a photo of one of the two suspects.
