9/11 Memorial Stair Climb Sunday In Prince George's County
The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb will take place Sunday at Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Oxon Hill.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The National Capital Region 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb held in remembrance of the FDNY firefighters who gave their lives September 11, 2001, will be held at Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Oxon Hill.
Participants can either climb the stairs or run a 5K. The stair climb consists of climbing the equivalent of 110 stories, approximately 2,200 steps. On-site registration takes place at 6 a.m. followed by a 7:30 a.m. opening ceremony and an 8 a.m. start. The climb ends at noon. First responders and residents throughout the D.C. region are encouraged to participate. Registration information is here.
“We are honored to be a location for one of the nation’s 9/11 Memorial Stair Climbs,” Kent Digby, executive VP of asset management, operations and marketing at National Harbor, said. “Helping the families of 9/11 first responders is such an important mission.”

Various retailers and restaurants throughout National Harbor will also have special fundraisers for the NFFF from Sept. 9 through Sept. 11.
