According to an arrest warrant, Edwards ordered food at the restaurant in the 7100 block of Temple Hills Road just before 10 p.m. that night. A short time later, three people entered the restaurant and also placed an order, and while they waited for their food Edwards is alleged to have begun staring at them until one of them asked him if there was a problem.
Police say Edwards replied there was not a problem, apologized, left the restaurant and returned seconds later with a handgun and began firing at the victims, fatally wounding Hairston.
