Traffic Signals Malfunction, Sports Practices Canceled After Storms Roar Through Prince George's (patch.com) — Bowie residents are dealing with malfunctioning traffic signals and storm damage after an early-morning system knocked out power and downed trees across Prince George's County. City officials report key intersections on MD 197 near U.S. 301 and Route 50 are affected, while county parks, recreation centers, and all PGCPS schools and athletic activities are closed Friday as crews assess damage and make repairs.

Fundraiser by William Koroma : William's Recovery and Transportation Fund (gofundme.com) — A DoorDash driver is seeking help after a serious crash on Church Road in Bowie totaled his car, left him out of work, and added medical bills he's struggling to cover. Donations will go toward replacing his vehicle, paying medical expenses, and helping with basic living costs while he works to regain financial stability.
   

3. Fundraiser by Zachary Hollister : Help Doug Replace His Stolen Lawnmower (gofundme.com) — A Bowie Lions Club member and owner of Lawbusters Lawn Service is asking for help after his essential lawnmower was stolen, threatening his only source of income. Community donations will go toward replacing the equipment so he can quickly resume work and continue supporting himself and serving local residents.
   

4. Four Homers Power Four-Run Comeback in 5-4 Win (milb.com) — Baseball fans in Bowie just saw the Portland Sea Dogs rally past the Chesapeake Baysox 5–4 at Prince George's Stadium, powered by four solo home runs. The series continues Friday night in Bowie, with first pitch set for 7:05 p.m. and another matchup of right-handed starters.
