Armed Masked Men Sought In Armored Truck Robbery: Police

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Hyattsville police officers are searching for two men suspected of committing an armed robbery of a Brinks armored truck at the Truist Bank located in the 3400 block of East-West Highway Monday afternoon.

According to the Hyattsville Police Department, at 4:10 p.m., the Brinks employee was removing cash from an ATM when the employee was approached by the two armed and masked men. The men then took the cash and the Brinks employee's gun.

The police department says the suspects had a rifle and a handgun and were wearing black ski masks and cargo pants. They took off in a black BMW SUV with tinted windows.
