The City of Bowie has been showing a lot of commitment to making Bowie a more sustainable place to live, work, and raise families! Over the next few months, the city will be presenting a Community Climate Action Series.
On October 9th, Joan Rohlfs from the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments will give a presentation about the impacts of climate change. You will also hear from Joe Meinert, the City’s Planning and Economic Development Director, who will give a brief presentation about Bowie’s current status on its climate change efforts. A short discussion will follow after the presentations. The event will take place at the room 121 of the Kenhill Center, 2614 Kenhill Drive, Bowie, MD, 20715, from 7-9pm.
Then, on November 20th, come and learn about how you can save money and energy at home and at work! Energy efficiency experts will be there to give you insights in to the many ways you can green your home and business. This event will also take place in room 121 of the Kenhill Center, at 7pm.
