Bowie's Curbside Leaf Collection Begins Nov. 3

The City of Bowie’s curbside leaf collection program begins Monday, Nov. 3, and runs through Dec. 18.

Each single-family residence, and some townhome communities, will be visited twice by leaf collection crews. Leaves should be at the curb, but not in the street, by 7 a.m. on the scheduled dates. If pickup is scheduled in your neighborhood, please do not park cars on the street in front of the leaves.

Some neighborhoods may take more than one day to complete. The second consecutive day is added to the schedule to allow time to finish an area. Leaves should be out on the first day listed.

The schedule is shown below, and published on the city website. Residents can also opt to put their leaves out in cans or bags for pick up with yard waste on Wednesdays. Remember that only paper bags (no plastic bags) may be used for yard waste.
